CheckMate Toolroom is used in one of the West’s leading Public Utilities. It operates in multiple states and generates power from a number of sources including coal, water and wind. One of the goals of the company is to be a “low-cost” producer of energy, so saving money and increasing productivity are key initiatives.
CheckMate Toolroom is being used to track equipment and tools in their 3 coal-burning plants in Utah. Prior to installing Toolroom, the workers were searching to tools and specialty equipment, and having to replace broken or lost tools frequently. The software keeps track of who has the tools, when they were checked out and when they are due back. The ability to keep track of maintenance resulted in an increase in productivity and safety, as they can be sure that equipment is in good working order at all times.
Plant management is pleased with the cost savings they were able to realize with the installation of CheckMate Toolroom.
