USAF – Document Tracking

us airforce documents, track manuals, library software, barcode tracking softwareUSS John C Stennis, USS George Bush, USS Carl Vinson, USS Abraham Lincoln – they all use CheckMate Document Tracking in their libraries.

US Aircraft Carriers have an extensive library of manuals and other documents important to the maintenance of the aircraft and equipment on the ships.  It was a continual challenge to keep copies of these books available at all times.

Once the CheckMate Document Tracking system was installed, the issues went away.  The system records the document’s location – to a cabinet or shelf and to a drawer or file folder using barcode technology.  The Check In/Check Out function is simple and fast.  Now the location of each manual is recorded – and if the manual is lost, a “soft-copy” can be printed, as CheckMate allows files and hyperlinks to be attached to item records.

CheckMate uses the government-issued CAC cards as the badge to identify an airman, a key requirement for military installations.
